To All Branches and Relevant Units,

In order to effectively organize the planning of the formulation and revision of standards for the second batch of 2025 under the Chinese Society for Urban Studies, matters related to the application and approval of standard formulation and revision projects are hereby notified as follows:

(1) Focus on market demands and technological innovations in the field of urban sciences, emphasizing forward-looking and pioneering new technologies, methods, and equipment in areas such as urban environments, urban planning, construction management, construction engineering, and building products.

(2) Encourage the conversion of local standards that require nationwide promotion and application into standards of the Society.

(3) Encourage the conversion of non-public-interest-oriented recommended standards from existing national and industry standards—such as those listed in the “Notice on Issuing the ‘Catalog of Current Recommended Engineering Construction Standards Convertible to Association Standards (2018 Edition)'” (Document No. [2018]168 from the General Office of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development)—into standards of the Society.

(4) All proposals must comply with relevant laws, regulations, and mandatory standards.

After downloading and completing the attached *Chinese Society for Urban Studies Standard Project Application Form*, the applying unit shall first send the electronic materials to the designated email address (with the email subject formatted as “Group Standard Name + Applying Unit”). Upon initial review and feedback from the Secretariat of the Standardization Committee of the Chinese Society for Urban Studies, the final version shall be finalized, affixed with the official seal, and submitted to the Standardization Committee of the Chinese Society for Urban Studies.

(1) The deadline for submitting applications for the second batch of 2025 Chinese Society for Urban Studies standards is September 10, 2025.

(2) Each standard application form must be submitted in two hard copies and one electronic copy, with the content of both versions being identical.

(3) The application form and its attachments must comply with the Provisions for Filling Out the Chinese Society for Urban Studies Group Standard Project Application Form (Trial).

(4) All standard projects successfully approved by the Society require the payment of project management fees. Specific fee standards and procedures will be notified separately. Please stay tuned for further information.

(5) This batch also publicly solicits proposals for the first batch of 2026 projects. The proposal should include the project title, information on the main participating units and personnel, background and significance of the project, a brief description of the main content, and an overview of the key issues the project aims to address.
