【Call for Standard Project Proposals】Second Batch of 2024 Standard Projects of the Chinese Society for Urban Studies

To All Branches and Relevant Units:

In order to effectively organize the planning for the formulation and revision of standards for the second batch of 2024 by the Chinese Society for Urban Studies, the matters related to the application and approval of standard formulation and revision projects are hereby notified as follows:

Part.01

Principles for Application

(一) Focus on market demand and technological innovation in urban science-related fields, emphasizing pioneering and forward-looking new technologies, methods, equipment, etc., in areas such as urban environments, urban planning, construction management, architectural engineering, and building products.
(二) Encourage local standards that require nationwide promotion and application to apply for conversion into Society standards.
(三) Encourage existing national and industry standards that are non-public welfare recommended standards, such as those listed in the “Notice on Issuing the ‘Directory of Current Recommended Engineering Construction Standards Convertible into Group Standards (2018 Edition)'” (Document Jianbiao Han [2018] No. 168), to apply for conversion into Society standards.
(四) Applications must comply with relevant laws, regulations, and mandatory standards.

Part.02

Application Procedure

The applying unit shall download and fill out the attached China Society for Urban Studies Standard Project Application Form. After completion, the electronic version of the materials should first be sent to the designated email address (with the email subject formatted as “Group Standard Name + Applicant Unit”). The Secretariat of the Standardization Committee of the China Society for Urban Studies will conduct a preliminary review and provide feedback. Following this, the application shall be finalized, affixed with the official seal, and submitted in its final version to the Standardization Committee of the China Society for Urban Studies.

Part.03

Other Matters

(一) The deadline for submitting standards for the second batch of 2024 by the Chinese Society for Urban Studies is November 10, 2024.
(二) For each standard project application, two printed copies and one electronic copy of the application form must be submitted. The content of the printed and electronic versions must be identical.
(三) The application form and its attachments must comply with the provisions of the Rules for Completing the Group Standard Project Application Form of the Chinese Society for Urban Studies (Trial).
(四) Starting from this batch, all standard projects successfully approved by our Society will be subject to a fee policy. The specific fee standards and procedures will be announced separately. Please stay tuned for further information.
(五) This batch also publicly solicits suggestions for the first batch of projects in 2025. Proposals should include the project name, information on the main drafting and participating units and personnel, an explanation of the project’s background and significance, a brief description of the main content, and an overview of the key issues the project aims to address.
