To All Members and Member Units：
To effectively carry out the planning for the formulation and revision of the first batch of standards of the Chinese Society for Urban Studies for the year 2025, the Underground Space Professional Committee of the Chinese Society for Urban Studies is now soliciting proposals for standard project topics from its members and member units. The relevant matters regarding the application and approval of standard formulation and revision projects are hereby notified as follows:
（1）Focus on market demand and technological innovation in the field of urban science, emphasizing forward-looking and pioneering new technologies, methods, and equipment in areas such as urban environment, urban planning, construction management, architectural engineering, and building products.
（2）Encourage the conversion of local standards that require nationwide promotion and application into Society standards.
（3）Encourage non-public welfare recommended standard projects from existing national and industry standards, such as those listed in the “Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development on Issuing the ‘Catalog of Current Recommended Engineering Construction Standards That Can Be Converted into Group Standards (2018 Edition)'” (Document Jianban Biaohan [2018] No. 168), to apply for conversion into Society standards.
（4）Must comply with relevant laws, regulations, and mandatory standards.
After downloading and completing the attached “China Society for Urban Studies Standard Project Application Form,” the applicant unit should first send the electronic version of the materials to the designated email address (with the email subject formatted as “Group Standard Name + Applicant Unit”). The application will undergo preliminary review by the Secretariat of the Professional Committee before being uniformly submitted to the Secretariat of the Standardization Committee of the China Society for Urban Studies for final review.
(1) The deadline for submitting standard proposals for the first batch of 2025 of the Chinese Society for Urban Studies is March 21, 2025.
(2) The application form and its attachments must comply with the provisions of the Rules for Completing the Group Standard Project Application Form of the Chinese Society for Urban Studies (Trial).
(3) All standard projects successfully approved by our Society will be required to pay project management fees. Specific fee standards and procedures will be notified separately. Please stay tuned for further information.
(4) This batch also publicly solicits suggestions for the second batch of project proposals in 2025. Proposals should include the project name, information on the main drafting and participating units and personnel, an explanation of the project’s background and significance, a brief description of the main content, and an overview of the key issues the project aims to address.
